Locks of Love

The princess had gorgeous long hair. I LOVED it so much, but she decided that it was time for a "new look". As much as I wanted to change her mind, I refrained. Instead, I asked her if she might want to donate her hair to Locks of Love. In the past we have talked about children who are unable to grow hair due to medical conditions, and she loved the idea of being able to help them.

So yesterday we headed over to Pigtails and Crewcuts to make the big cut. She was so excited.

This was our first time to that salon, and I have to say that I wish we had found it sooner. If you have a little one, you should definitely find out if there is one in your area. They had an adorable kid friendly set up and they made the donation process very simple. We just filled out a form and they did the rest.

The Princess has had many haircuts, but this was definitely the most that she's ever had cut at once. I wasn't sure what to expect. I had a little fear that maybe she would freak out once the gal started cutting, but she did great. I on the other, was freaking out a bit on the inside, but I think I hid it well.

I had some worries about how she'd feel about her "new look", but it's absolutely adorable and she loves it!

Here are some before and after shots:

This little girl never ceases to amaze me. I am so blessed to have such a kind hearted little girl, and I am so very proud of her for deciding to donate her hair!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Take care & God bless. :)

My Doppelganger!?!

I always love heading over to Mel's & Michelle's, to join the fun with their Ketchup with Us Prompts!!

KETCHUP WITH US' - PROMPT #14

In 57 words or less, tell us about your doppelgänger.

First dates can be filled with romance.
Everything can be going just right,
but the wrong compliment...
Well, that can ruin the night.

Now, many girls may think Mariah's pretty,
but as it turns out, I don't think she's much.
So, next time you want to make your lady smile,
Tell her she smells nice, that might get your through lunch.

I can never just leave this at the 57 words! Haha! I had such a hard time thinking of a doppelganger because no one ever says that I look like any celebrity, but then I remembered... when D and I first started dating he told me I looked like her thinking it was a compliment. Only thing is, I've never thought she was pretty. Although, looking at our photos next to each other, I can kind of see it! What do you think? Is he right?

Do you have a doppelganger? I'd love to hear about it in a comment!

Thanks for stopping by. Take care and God bless!

Awesome Lephrechaun Traps

Today I was scrolling through my Facebook news feed and came across this adorable photo with the caption "leprechaun trap!" Seriously awesome! And pure genius... Free Lucky Charms? What leprechaun wouldn't go for that??

Now, I knew that we have to put out cookies Santa, and the Easter Bunny hides eggs for us to find, but I totally missed the boat on this one! Had I been making leprechaun traps all these years, I'm sure I'd have caught one by now and be living the good life with a pot of gold... oh well, better late than never.

I did some pinning and I think I'm ready to get started. Here are my top 5 favorites that I found to help give you some ideas if you are going to make one of your own.

5. The Simple Trap

At first when I started looking at traps, I scrolled right past this one, but then I came across it again and it caught my eye. Yes, it is simple, but in this busy life sometimes simple is perfect. Which is why this simple trap makes number 5.

4. Hanging Pot of Gold Trap

This looks like a fun craft and everyone knows that leprechauns are always trying to add to their gold stash, so there is no way they could resist this trap!

3.The Falling Cup Trap

This one is pretty awesome. The cup is attatched to a string that is attached to a penny. When the penny is lifted the cup falls. Pure genius.

2. The Trap Door Trap

Love this one!  The reverse psychology will definitely trick a leprechaun!

1. The Cake Trap

I'm commonly referred to as "The Cake Lady" so naturally, my favorite trap of all is this awesome cake trap! I have to try this for sure!!

I hope that I gave you some ideas for a fun leprechaun trap! If you have done or are going to do one, I'd love to hear about it in a comment!

Take care and God bless!

Birthday Fun!

As you probably already know, yesterday was my birthday. I am not one of those people who hates their birthday. Which is kind of odd, because I have a history of really awful birthdays (we can go into this another time) ... but being the optimist that I am, I always hope for an amazing day. As the day approaches, I become extremely excited. I have never slept more than 3 hours on the night before my birthday. I love birthday parties, birthday cake, and presents.

So naturally, the first thing I did on Birthday Morning after getting ready for my day is put on a birthday tiara. You are probably rolling your eyes right about now, but honestly, it's all in good fun. My preschool kids love it and what other day (okay, I guess there is Halloween) can I get away with wearing a tiara?

The morning was absolutely wonderful, my preschool kids arrived and showered me with gifts, flowers, homemade cards, and sweets. They definitely made me feel very loved!

After school, The Princess and I went to get a mani and pedi because it is tradition. I injured my foot a while back, resulting in a lost toenail, so it was my first pedi in a long time, and it was AMAZING. There is nothing more relaxing than having your feet and legs massaged.

After that, she and I picked up my favorite, sushi and teriyaki chicken. Sadly, they forgot my teriyaki. I was a little bummed for a minute, but it wasn't big deal because my sushi and a couple bites of hers was plenty. For being the only thing that went wrong all day, I'll take it! D was on a business trip, but got back around 10 (YAY!) and we caught up on Walking Dead.

Overall, it was a fantastic day. I wasn't sick, no one died, and I didn't get kicked out of my house... I told you I have a history of bad birthdays...

Now, it's time for the birthday fun to continue. After all it is "Birthday Month". I have dinners planned all weekend and a Vegas trip at the end of the month! Yay, I can finally check that off my 30 before 30 list!

Birthday Wish!!!

It's official, I am 26 years old! Not that I'm counting, but only 4 years from 30. Wow, time sure does fly!! D will get back in town from a business trip late tonight, but it's okay I've got fun plans for The Princess and I. I will definitely be posting all about it tomorrow!

I find it to be cool and kind of creepy at the same time that Google knows it's my birthday.

So, here is my birthday wish...

I wish that everyone who reads this would vote for my blog!! I would love to check my ranking and see that I have moved up on the list. All you have to do is click the picture of the juggling momma.

It will take you to another site and that is how you know you have voted! Thank you to anyone who votes!! It will really make my birthday extra special. :)

Now, time to go watch my Facebook timeline fill up with posts from all the friends I never talk to... Not that I don't love it!!

Whose shoes would you like to walk in for a day?

I always love heading over to Mel's & Michelle's, to join the fun with their Ketchup with Us Prompts!!

KETCHUP WITH US' - PROMPT #13

In 57 words or less, tell us whose shoes you would  like to walk in for a day.

As a child, I dreamed of being her

I knew in my heart that I had to have it all...

The Prince, The castle, and of course those SHOES!

Now, all grown, I've found my prince,

Maybe not a castle, but I'm sensible, I'll compromise.

But every now and then, I won't deny,

I still dream of those sparkly glass slippers!

"And then it dawned on me. Maybe the reason Cinderella was so happy the shoe fit wasn’t because of the prince, it was because of the shoes!" ~Carrie Bradshaw, Sex and the City

Seriously though, my heart stopped when I read about the Louboutin Cinderella shoes. Sadly only 20 pairs were made. I think I would have had more luck marrying an actual prince!
