(Not So) Wordless Wednesday #7

Welcome to the (Not So) Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop #7!

Never forget where you came from...

If you know me in real life, You would also know that my childhood was very dysfunctional and I grew up extremely poor. As a child, I dreamed of being a Disney Princess and being whisked off into the sunset on a white horse.

I'm not sure where this photo came from, but I love it so much. This might sound silly, but it really touched my heart because sometimes when I look in the mirror, I can still see the little girl from my past. I have grown up, and I have so much more than I ever dared to dream for, and I thank God for it every day. And now that I think about it, I did get my fairytale Princess ending...

I appreciate this life so much because of where I came from, and I will never forget how amazingly blessed I am.

On to the blog hop...

Pinup Fashion: The Heidi Dress by Pinup Girl Clothing

Every girl should own at least one dress that makes her feel sexy. For me that dress is the Heidi Dress by Pinup Girl Clothing. PUG is one of my favorite stores to shop. I love vintage reproduction especially pinup styles, and they have so many adorable dresses!

The Heidi  is pinup with a modern twist. It has a full swing skirt and an insanely flattering bustline. The skirt has a shorter hemline for a more modern look, but I am very petite, so the skirt is a bit longer and me. But I honestly prefer the longer length and it still has a very modern look. It is made from high quality stretch sateen that hugs you in all the right places.

As a curvy girl, I have a hard time finding dresses that fit me correctly, but this one is a curvy girls best friend. If you are chesty and have a problem with dresses being too small in the bust, fear not because this one has plenty of room for the girls.

If red is not your thing, this dress comes in a variety of colors and patterns including:  leopard print, royal blue, rose rose, coral & at least 10 others! Each dress comes with a matching belt.

As you can see by the photos of the models, this dress is extremely versatile and could fit any body type! The Heidi is a bit pricey, but it is completely worth it because the quality is amazing and it fits like a dream!

I am also seen in this style: Sunday Social: Brought to you by the number 5, 30 before 30 update: Vegas Baby!

My Tiny Dancer

The Princess has been doing ballet since she was about 2 and a half. She has always had a natural grace about her when she dances. Last year, I enrolled her in a more serious ballet studio because she loves it so much and is so dedicated. The school hosted a Pre-ballet Tea last weekend and it was so fun. They served pink cupcakes and punch and we got to meet some of the older dancers at the school and some of the dancers that are in the company.

The older girls talked about how much they dance. The ones in the company said that they are at the studio for up to 9 hours a day. I couldn't believe it. Next year, The Princess is hoping to be promoted. If she is, she will be doing dance twice a week. The next level has class 3 times a week, and it just goes up from there. I can't imagine her being at the dance studio that often, but I know that I can't hold her back from doing something she loves. The biggest thing that I stress to her is that school comes first.

They did a raffle at the Tea, and The Princess won not one, but two things. Talk about lucky! She won two new tutus and a dance bag. Of course when we got home, she had to put on one of her new ballet skirts to do a show for us.

I don't know how long The Princess will do ballet. She may do it for another couple years and then grow out of it, or she may continue on to dance for a company. I will support her no matter what she chooses to do and she will always be my tiny dancer.

Sugar Plum Fairy Dance: Age 4

Does your child dance? If so, how old and how long have they been dancing? I'd love to hear about it in a comment.

Thanks for stopping by. Take care and God bless!

What is Swagbucks?

I kept hearing about Swagbucks, But I had no idea what it was. It sounded a bit too good to be true when friends told me about it, so I was skeptical. After a some research, I decided to give it a try.

How does it work?
Signing up is easy and FREE! The easiest way to earn swagbucks is to download the swagbucks search toolbar and use it for your searches, it pulls data from Google and Ask.com so results are just as accurate.  That's right, you get swagbucks just for searching!! You can also earn swagbucks by filling out surveys & polls.

Another great way you can earn money is by referring your friends to the program. In fact, you can get up to 100 swag bucks for each person you refer, if the person actually uses the program. Swag Codes This program also has a Swag Codes program, where you can earn swagbucks just by finding special codes and pasting them into field on your members page. They aren't that difficult to find especially if you look for them on the website's official blog.

Prizes?
There are so many prizes you can trade your swagbucks for. There are toys, jewelry, but my choice would be gift cards!! I search online all day long why not get rewarded for it?

My thoughts...
Swagbucks is a legitimate site. You need to use all revenue streams to make the most of it. It's just a matter of  using their search engine to search, promoting their service by referring friends and reading up on their news.

Who doesn't like getting rewarded for something they are going to be doing anyway? Have you tried Swagbucks yet?

Happy Mother's Day!

I hope that you all had a fabulous Mother's Day! Mine was just wonderful, and I'm dying to tell you all about it. But first...

There were quite a few funny cards and memes floating around the internet. Here were my favorites that I posted on facebook.

Okay, back to my Mother's Day...

Like I was saying, it was absolutely fabulous! I started out the day with presents. I felt so loved

My favorite presents were the handmade ones. I just love gifts from tiny ones with big hearts.

Pearl bracelet from my Mr. So sweet, I have been looking for a single strand bracelet. I had no clue he was going to get me one!

My little Princess picked this one. It's a pink sapphire heart with a mother and child in a loving embrace. I just love it!

After I opened my wonderful presents, we went to Oaks Amusement Park in Portland. It has become a Mother's Day tradition for us. It is such a fun place. It's been open since the early 1900's, and is a blast from the past.

We had so much fun!!

What did you do for Mother's Day? I'd love to hear about it in a comment!

I hope you all had as wonderful of a day as I did whether you went out or stayed home and relaxed!

Take care and God bless!!
