Shop Local Portland: The Dragontree Holistic Day Spa

Through the summer I will be featuring one local business a week that is either in Portland or near by

Today, I am featuring: The Dragontree Holistic Day Spa, a fabulous Spa with two locations in Portland. I was in search of the best spa in Portland and according to all of the reviews I read, The Dragontree was it. I of course had to experience this for myself. You can read all about it below along with an interview with the owner below.

The Dragontree is owned by Briana Borton and Dr. Peter Borton. I was just at the Thurman location this past weekend for a foot massage and it was such a wonderful relaxing experience.

From the outside, the spa looks very small, but once you get inside you can see how spacious it really is. The decor is just beautiful. The ambiance is inviting and instantly relaxing with the scent of incense filling the spa.

We were instantly greeted as we entered by a very friendly receptionist who showed us to the couch. Moments later a woman came out and led us into a room with raised couches.

We had called ahead because we couldn't find a sitter and they said we could bring the princess with us since she is at an age where she can sit quietly. She was pleasantly surprised because we were able to add on a milk soak for her.
She was definitely excited to get a royal treatment, and everything is all natural, so I had no worries about her soaking those pretty little feet.

Our massage therapists came out shortly after we were seated. We were offered tea and a warm neck pillow. We both have been on our feet quite a bit this summer with the Europe trip, and D's work, running and hiking, so it felt amazing to have someone just work on my feet for 40 minutes.

Both or our massages were just amazing. I had David and he did a fabulous job of making me feel  relaxed and my feet felt so amazing after.
I haven't experienced all of their services (yet), but if you check out their reviews on yelp, you will see that they do an amazing job of keeping their clients happy! I can't wait to return.

I highly recommend them to anyone who needs to take a break from this busy life and relax. Go for it, treat yourself! And for all of you not so local readers, if you ever happen to pass through Porltand International Airport, book an appointment with their PDX location. A spa at the airport? Brilliant!

I interviewed owner Briana Borton so that we could all learn more about her wonderful spa!
