August Wantable Beauty Box Review

What is Wantable?

Beauty box subscription- $36 a month
Each month you receive 4-6 full-size premium beauty products! The value of each box is $80-$100! What an amazing deal!

There is a very thorough questionnaire on the website, so that you will only get products that you are likely to love. All products are hand picked to match your style. Unlike other subscriptions, if you don't like your box, all you have to do is return it!

They also offer jewelry boxes!

Here is what was in my box:

Michael Marcus Debbie Lipstick Retail $24.00

If you have been reading a while, you know about my love of red lipstick. I was so excited to see that red lipstick was in my box!! I had to try it right away and I was so happy with it. The color is just gorgeous on. It glides on very smoothly and kept my lips moisturized. I applied the lipstick in the morning. I ate, drank, and carried on with my day. It did not smudge, bleed, or fade and I didn't have to touch up until 4pm. That is pretty amazing if you ask me! Definitely a keeper!

Besame 1930's Mascara Retail $18.00

Oh my goodness! I have been wanting to try Besame beauty products for so long, so I was ecstatic to see this in my box! This mascara is a formulation from the 30s and has only 7 natural ingredients. If you have sensitive eyes, this is perfect for you! To get a more dramatic look, you have to put a few coats. One thing that I absolutely love about this mascara is the smell of cloves.

Japonesque Flat Eyeliner Brush Retail $11.00

The quality of this brush is amazing. The brush is very sturdy and doesn't bend or shed. I was able to get a very precise line with it. It's honestly one of the better eyeliner brushes that I've used, and I love the travel size.

Face Stockholm Gel Eyeliner Black Retail $24.00

I love gel liner, and use it all the time so Wantable gets another point for getting it right! This went on very smoothly and was long lasting. I love that it was a very intense black. Most of the gel liners I have tried tend to smudge, but this one stayed put!

Beauty For Real The Perfect Lip Pencil Nude Retail $14.00

I LOVE this lip pencil and I think it has the perfect name. It really is the perfect lip pencil. It's the only pencil that Beauty for Real sells because it is supposed to work for all skin tones. It worked perfectly as a base for all of my reds, and also looks great with just clear gloss over it. I am definitely going to buy a new one when this one runs out!

Echo Vie All Natural Lip Balm Sample Retail $15

Love the pink tint that this lip balm has. It tingles as it goes on and has a bit of a minty flavor. My lips felt very moisturized after wearing it and I think it makes a great daily balm.

That's a $91 value not including the lip balm for only $36!

I was so impressed with the quality of all of the products in this box!  Do you subscribe? I'd love t hear about what was in your box!
Disclosure: This complimentary box was provided for review purposes. No compensation was received and all opinions are my own.

(Not So) Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop- Happy 8th Birthday Little Princess ❤❤❤

Welcome back to the (Not So) Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop!

Thank you for coming back week after week to share your photos. Please share after you link up so we can continue to grow!

Happy 8th Birthday Little Princess!
Sunday was my Sweet little Princess' 8th birthday! This year she was at her dad's for her actual birthday, so we celebrated on Friday. She will be doing her birthday party in September, so stay tuned for those photos!

We have a two traditions that we do every year.

First, we always stop by the coffee shop for a yummy iced pink milk with lots of whipped cream!

The second is a mother daughter mani-pedi.

She chose to go to Big Al's in Beaverton to celebrate!

There is bowling, yummy food, and an awesome arcade, so we knew it would be a super fun time!
We started with bowling and food.

She chose french toast. Great birthday dinner choice!

This was my favorite picture of us!

I was so proud that she was bowling like a big girl. Usually she  uses one of the metal things to help kids.

After we got done bowling, we headed upstairs to the Arcade.

We were in the arcade for hours and had such a fun time! The Princess really made out on tickets.

It ended up being just over 4,000 tickets, plus some nice people gave us a card with 1,000 more tickets on it as a birthday gift!

Over 5,000 tickets and she walks away with a ring, "funny putty", and a push pop. Saved the rest. What??!

Finally we headed home for cake and presents.

I usually make her cake, but I will be making a pretty extravagant cake for her birthday party next month. So I gave myself a pass and bought an Oreo ice cream cake. It was pretty yummy!

Her favorite gift was her new password journal! She was sooo excited for this one. I totally recommend this for any girl around 8 years old.

The last birthday request of the night was to build a fort in the living room and sleep in it together.

So, I showed her how it's done.

It's been a while since I've slept on the floor and I didn't remember it being that hard, but we had fun!

It was such a fun day! Do you have any fun birthday traditions for your kids? I'd love to hear about it in a comment!

Paris Day 3- Disneyland!

I am a complete Disney fanatic so of course I had to go to Paris Disneyland!

Read about Paris Day 1 & Paris Day 2

I loved Disneyland Paris because I love anything Disney. It was a lot smaller than I expected. I do prefer Disneyland in Anaheim to it, but I had to go at least once to experience it.

If you are going to be visiting for the day, bring food. The food here was way overpriced compared to Disneyland in Anaheim (and I've always thought the food here was a bit steep). Expect long lines in the summer of course. And I did notice that there weren't nearly as many characters out and about as I see at the Anaheim Disneyland. Even without many characters, it was a magical day at Disneyland and I had a blast!

Here are my favorite photos of the day!

I was so excited when we got to the park! I absolutely love Disneyland. There is just a magical feeling that fills the air!

We started at the Walt Disney Studios Park

I thought the Disney Studios was a fun, but it was pretty small. There are photo opps and a few thriller rides, but aside from that there wasn't much to do. If you are bringing kids, skip the studio and spend the money on souvenirs at Disneyland instead.

The Hollywood Tower was a fun ride. The whole presentation was very twilight zone, so I loved that. Then the drop is pretty intense for me, but I loved it!

I loved all of the photo opps! And D was such a good sport! He likes Lord of The Rings, so it wasn't hard to get him to pose for this one.

We stopped in tons of stores. I cracked me up that the kid dresses looked tall enough for me!

Next we headed over to Disneyland!

Yay!!! This is where dreams come true! (Yes, I am a total cheese ball...)

Main Street

Discoveryland

We decided to eat at Cafe Hyperion in Discoveryland. The wait was an hour and the food was insanely expensive and not great. My advice is to bring food if you visit!

Fantasyland

I loved the Castle!! My favorite part of Disneyland is always Fantasy Land because I am just a total princess at heart. I didn't get to see the awesome dragon in the basement of the castle. If you visit, make sure you don't miss it like I did!

My favorite ride of all time is It's a Small World! Yes, I know the song annoys most people, but I LOVE it! We rode it 3 times.

I loved the way they represented the USA. Football, Baseball, New York, & Hollywood!

Cinderella Carriage!!!

Adventureland

Pirates of The Caribbean is D's favorite, so he was very excited to ride it. It was a little different, but followed the same theme of course.

Frontierland

I am always creeped out by the Haunted Mansion, but this one was extra creepy. I was even slightly disturbed. If you have small kids, I would suggest skipping this one.
I really wanted to stay for the firework show, but it was a couple hours train ride back to the hotel. There was a shuttle from the airport that would have shortened the time significantly. The cost was 20 euros per person each way, and only ran till 7:30 pm anyway, so we opted to ride the train with our public transport passes.

If you don't have a lot of time in Paris, and you aren't a Disney fanatic, I would maybe skip it. But if you are like me and love everything Disney or have kids on your trip you should add it to your itinerary! It's Disneyland, so no matter what, if you bring the kids they will have a blast!
